With nearly 30 years of experience in the software industry, Torsten has architected and developed web applications across diverse industries–from consumer electronics, telecommunications, banking, travel, healthcare, and many others. His career has been marked by highly impactful roles, where he has consistently delivered excellence as Technical Lead and Senior Software Architect.

Joining Legalmatch as a Principal Software Engineer offered Torsten the chance to bring his skills into a new field–legal tech—where the focus is on bridging gaps in legal access and enhancing client-attorney interactions. With LegalMatch’s remote work setup, he is able to concentrate on building tech solutions without the usual office constraints. The focus on results means he can apply his expertise to challenging projects that support LegalMatch’s mission.

Torsten’s journey into the world of technology began with his father’s unwavering support. From the moment Torsten decided to delve into software development at just 12 years old, his father encouraged him to pursue his passion.
At present, Torsten has a deep passion for software development, with numerous interests that drive his curiosity and innovation, one of which is researching how the combination of human skills and AI is revolutionizing the field.
He is keen to know more about the AI-First era. Generative AI’s game-changing potential to speed up essential development stages like code generation, test automation, and bug fixing indeed can pique the interest of software development professionals, including Torsten.
Exploring the Philippines
Despite being busy, Torsten has managed to immerse himself in the beauty of the Philippines. From the vibrant marine life of Oslob to the breathtaking views of the Mayon Volcano, he’s explored the country’s stunning landscapes. His adventures took him to various provinces, including Cebu, Negros, and Palawan, where he’s indulged in diving, fishing, and other outdoor activities.
