Hate Your Job? Quit!

Hate Your Job? Quit!

Love your Job? Be better at it!

Since the dawn of time, it has always been challenging to get paid while doing what you love at the same time. Basketball players for instance become multi-millionaires while playing their favorite sport. Singers earn thousands, maybe millions, for enjoying what they do.

Not all of us are fortunate to be doing what we truly love for a living. However, we will always come to a point in our lives where we regret not pursuing our dreams. It doesn’t matter if you are in your 30’s or perhaps your 50’s, it’s never too late to be happy.

Whether you love or hate your job, here are the most important reasons why you should do what you love.

Contentment

Money does not guarantee contentment. We achieve contentment with what we do when it gives us enough to put food in the table, when it gives us peace of mind, and when it excites us in the  morning. Our desires will never end whether we have everything or nothing. In fact, the more we have, the more we actually want more. That said, contentment is what makes us feel alive and more aware of ourselves and our surroundings. Without it, we end up in constant restlessness and frustration.

Happy Home

People who are stressed out at work often take it on their family. Your family may not always understand what you went through at work, therefore they will resent you for either getting mad at them for no reason or for neglecting them. If this is currently happening to you and your family, maybe it’s time to think of other options for earning income. One that will benefit you not just financially, but emotionally as well.

Growth

You will never, ever grow in an environment that does not suit you. It’s like placing a fish in open air in the sand. When you hate your job, you will never find ways to excel or be proactive. Instead, you will focus on the clock and submitting output just for the sake of doing so. Other people may tell you that you’re just being negative, however, it is never your fault if your coworkers are toxic or your bosses are neglective of their employees. No matter how well you do your job, the negative forces around you can not only be detrimental to your career, but also to your mental health.

Freedom

Choose a job that gives you a sense of freedom not the one that confines you in a tiny lamp like a genie. Freedom should be something that is lived by daily and not just a destination that we seek. Employers who bombard their employees with rules is never a good working environment. If you stay in this type of setting for too long, you might think it’s normal, thus causing negative effects in your health, your family, and your career growth. Your bosses are there to lead you, not to enslave you – remember that.

Live a life that you deserve and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
